Drake’s OVO clothing brand is taking us back to school with a stylish new campus collection.
According to the press release, the new collection” honors alumni, students, future scholars, and everyone who values a commitment to excellence.”
For the Campus Collection, OVO partnered with the University of Toronto, Western University, University of Cambridge, Yale University, and Stanford University to bring fans of the brand stylish pieces that honor tradition.
The collection consists of varsity jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, and sports caps featuring the iconic logos of the schools with the OVO branding while “capturing the hard work that defines both OVO and each notable academic institution.”
The Campus Collection is available now at OctobersVeryOwn.com, flagship stores in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, and select university bookstores. Prices for pieces in the collection range from $68 USD to $698.
The brand is synonymous with Toronto’s favorite child, Drake. Still, the brand is described as a global lifestyle and apparel brand founded in Drizzy’s hometown by a group of artists, entrepreneurs, and friends with “a common goal: to create their own influence and embrace where they’re from. They strive to partner with and empower individuals, groups, and brands that share their vision.”
In a 2020 interview with Complex, Drake spoke about the clothing brand, saying, “I want people to be a part of our movement; I just want it to be right,” Drake said back in a 2011 interview with Complex. “And everybody else wants me to make it with the cheaper fabric and put it in Macy’s and ‘Oh don’t worry we will make 100 million in the first year.’ Naw, fuck you, because that’s not what we are about. I’m not ready for OVO to be that. Because OVO is still something I represent.”
