Justin Bieber is capturing attention with a bevy of new songs, but he’s not the mastermind behind the audio creations. A YouTuber by the name of Evan Mahim used AI to replicate Bieber’s voice for the praise and worship tunes.

Mahim released three AI-generated Christian songs featuring Bieber’s voice: “Dear Christ,” “Holy Jesus” and “Lord Jesus.” With millions of views under his belt, he’s revealing how it all comes together.

Mahim, who goes by Evan Tunes on YouTube said he uses ChatGPT to create the lyrics, he synthesizes Bieber’s voice using AI before mixing the track in his studio. He clarified his use of AI to create these songs in the YouTube comments.

“Just to clarify, the song ‘Holy Jesus’ by ‘Justin Bieber’ is an AI-generated creation,” Mahim wrote. “The purpose of this song is to inspire and bring people back to the light of faith and belief. It’s not an official release by Justin Bieber. We love Justin Bieber and always will.”

However Beliebers and fans of Christian music alike are eating it up with people leaving comments about how much they enjoy the song or sharing their own testimonies.

“Justin thanks for giving your life to Jesus,” one user wrote. “I can’t stop crying.”

“Thank you Bieber for accepting Christ,” added someone else. “Don’t ever depart dear.”

The real Bieber has spoken about his faith in the past. In 2021, he dropped a faith-filled EP called “Freedom.” It featured collaborations with Brandon Lake, Tori Kelly and Judah Smith. Just a few weeks ago, he posted a guided prayer on his Instagram page. He reportedly also consistently attends church with his wife, Hailey Bieber.

“I have a wife who I adore, who I feel comforted by,” he said in a 2021 interview with GQ Magazine. “I feel safe. I feel like my relationship with God is wonderful. And I have this outpouring of love that I want to be able to share with people, you know?”
