When it comes to style, Kandi Burruss’ look can be described as casual-chic with a hint of sexiness. However, at the Black United Theater Gala, the Atlanta native went all out in a jaw-dropping outfit, displaying her fashion range and placing her among the heavy hitters. The mother-of-three worked a David Koma corset and a floor-sweeping Hanifa skirt, topped with an extravagant Daniel’s Leather faux fur coat.

Burruss accessorized her look with Alexis Bittar jewels, a gold clutch, and strappy sandals. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star wore her hair in a classic updo that featured tendrils framing her gorgeous face, emitting old Hollywood glam vibes. Her soft, natural makeup added the perfect touch to her elaborate look.

It’s no secret that Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, have been focusing their efforts on film, theater, and family. While speaking to HelloBeautiful at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, the Xscape member informed us that she decided to nix RHOA to continue working on her other endeavors. “I made the decision that I am not coming back,” Kandi stated. “But the truth of the matter is after having these months while they were doing their, whatever, looking to shake up the cast, I was doing a lot of other things. I’ve spent more time with my kids, obviously, then I’ve been working on some other projects, writing more, and in the studio more.”

The Black United Theater organization aligns with Burruss’s passion for the arts. According to the brand’s website, the 2nd annual Gala event honors “the indelible mark that Black culture has had on Broadway and across multiple industries. ” Proceeds from the gala support Black Theatre United’s empowering programs.
