Many Super Bowl-winning head coaches have had experience coaching at the college level before transitioning to the NFL. This path is common as it allows coaches to develop their skills and gain valuable experience. In Bill Belichick’s case, he may take his Super Bowl-winning talents to the collegiate level.

Reports are saying that Belichick is considering an offer to be the head coach of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. Belichick, 72, is considered by many to be the greatest NFL head coach of all time and was the architect of the New England Patriots dynasty from 2001-2019. Belichick also won titles as the Defensive Coordinator for the New York Giants teams in 1987 and 1991. If Belichick does join the UNC Tar Heels, he will become a member of a small group of NFL Head Coaches who coached in college and the first since another legendary coach to win a Super Bowl and go to the college level.
