Some songs just create instant nostalgia. If you allow us to walk you 17 years back for a bit, the South was going up for an up-and-coming ATL rapper by the named of Yung L.A. and his infectious B Franks-produced debut single, “Ain’t I.” Recorded in January 2008, it would take a full 10 months before it saw an official release and music video treatment. However, that only prolonged the song’s success as it went on to become one of BET’s top 100 music videos of 2009 in addition to almost winning “Best Collaboration” at the 2009 BET Awards — blame it on Jamie Foxx, literally!

Almost 20 years later, and you’d be hard-pressed if the club doesn’t go into a frenzy when the DJ drops “Ain’t I,” and that goes triple if you live in a Southern state.
