PARIS—Stephen Curry knocked down 8 three-pointers to lead the Team USA men’s basketball team to its fifth straight gold medal victory.
Team USA knocked off France 98-87 Saturday afternoon at the Olympics in Paris.
France cut the lead to three at 82-79, but Curry knocked down a three with 2:45 left in the fourth quarter to give his team some much needed breathing room. He would hit four more of them after that.
Victor Wembanyama led all scorers with 26 points for France.
LeBron, Curry and Durant were standout veterans during the entire Olympic tournament and continued to shine in the Gold Medal game:
Stephen Curry: Led the team with 24 points, all from eight 3-pointers.
Kevin Durant: Contributed 15 points.
LeBron James: Recorded a double-double with 14 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds.

Indiana Pacer guard Tyrese Haliburton was on the team so he also wins a gold medal. He played sparingly throughout the Olympic games.
The Team USA women’s basketball team is playing in the gold medal game tomorrow.
