It is no secret that Ice Cube has been vocal about being overlooked to represent the United States in the 2024 Olympic Games.
Ice Cube, founder of the BIG3, was perplexed that his top stars were not picked to represent the nation in the Olympic debut of 3×3 basketball.
After being left out of the Olympics, Ice Cube posed a challenge to whatever country won the gold medals in the event, to compete against the BIG3’s tops stars in an All Star game. After the Netherlands came out on top, they were invited to America to take on the BIG3 All-Stars.
During an courtside interview, Ice Cube revealed that an invitation to played the Netherlands was sent and they accepted the challenge, however, The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) is not permitting the showcase to take place.
“Well to their credit, they’ve accepted the challenge. but it’s FIBA… FIBA is scared of the BIG3 so they are preventing them from playing in our All-Star game. So it don’t look like its going to happen because of that.”

Ice Cube went on to speak his peace about FIBA, by quoting Kwatinetz’s post and adding that the organization is governed by the wrong people and there needs to be a change in leadership, in a more vulgar expression
“Politicians like FIBA shouldn’t be over sports. Especially if they’re scary little bitches.” Ice Cube posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
