Imagine a world where every Saturday morning, kids would gather on playgrounds, lunch boxes packed with the essentials: a Skip-It, a Tamagotchi, and maybe even a Power Ranger action figure or two. The 90s gave us a wave of colorful, quirky, and incredibly creative toys that, to this day, hold a special place in our hearts.
Recently, nostalgia came full circle when a woman sold her 90s Beanie Babies collection for $4.3k, and McDonald’s brought us back to the good ol’ days with adult Happy Meals that included those retro toys we loved so much. It’s clear we still crave the magic of those simpler times, where if you didn’t have a certain toy, you just “weren’t that girl” (or guy) on the block.

Here are a few classics that we’d give anything to see make a comeback:
1.Easy-Bake Oven – If you had one of these, you instantly had a culinary career in the making. The joy of mixing up a tiny cake and baking it in your own mini oven was an unmatched experience. Every kid who wanted a taste of independence had this on their wish list.
2.Skip-It – The ultimate schoolyard classic. There wasn’t a recess without a Skip-It competition, with kids counting skips to see who was the real Skip-It champ. You couldn’t beat the thrill of getting into the rhythm of that foot-twirling action—talk about coordination!
3.Bop It – If you didn’t have “twist it, pull it, bop it!” stuck in your head at some point, were you even a 90s kid? Bop It was the ultimate test of reflexes, and it quickly became everyone’s favorite game to play solo or with friends.
4.Game Boy Color – Christmas morning magic, right here. If you were lucky enough to have a Game Boy Color, you were officially the cool kid with access to endless hours of Pokémon and Mario. Summers were made for trading game cartridges and squeezing in one last level before dinner.

5.Super Soaker – Super Soakers turned backyards into battlefields. It didn’t matter if you were having a backyard barbecue or a full-on neighborhood war—these water guns were essential to any hot summer day.
6.Nerf Guns – Another battle essential, Nerf Guns added drama and excitement to any hangout. We didn’t have social media back then, so we’d spend hours darting around our houses and yards, creating stories and action scenes.
7.Tamagotchi – This little digital pet required more attention than you’d think! Keeping a Tamagotchi alive was a badge of honor, and kids everywhere took that responsibility seriously, sneaking peeks at their virtual pet during class and obsessively feeding, cleaning, and playing with it.
8.Power Rangers Action Figures – Everyone had a favorite Ranger, and if you didn’t own the action figure, it was only a matter of time before you begged for one. The diversity in the Power Rangers cast made it all the more relatable for kids everywhere.
9.Polly Pocket – It didn’t get cooler than being able to carry an entire world in your pocket. Polly Pocket playsets were tiny but filled with personality, and every kid wanted one to create mini adventures on the go.
10.Lisa Frank Stationery and Accessories – From school binders to stickers, Lisa Frank’s bold colors and whimsical designs made school supplies exciting. Every notebook or binder felt like a piece of art and a way to express your unique style.
These toys weren’t just objects—they were a part of our lives, adding color, creativity, and endless fun every day. We’ll never forget the magic of those moments, and hey, maybe someday, they’ll come back to remind us of the good old 90s all over again.
