While Joe Burrow & the Cincinnati Bengals took on the Dallas Cowboys during Monday Night Football, his East side home was being burglarized, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
The break-in reportedly occurred after 2:30 p.m. and was discovered shortly after 8 p.m. A shattered bedroom window and a “ransacked” room were noted in the incident report. The sheriff’s office has not confirmed any arrests.
Three individuals called 911 to report the incident, including a woman said to be “employed by Burrow”, her mother, and a third woman from New York City. According to the report, the employed woman— 22-year-old IMG model and influencer Olivia Ponton— was the first to discover the burglary upon arriving to his residence. Listen to the 911 call here:
Details on stolen items remain unclear, as Burrow was in Dallas and unable to provide specifics. Ponton gave deputies a general list of potentially missing items. A security officer assigned to patrol Burrow’s home was dispatched to assist with the investigation.
The intruders reportedly avoided leaving fingerprints and entered through a rear first-floor window. The burglary aligns with a growing trend of professional athletes being targeted, as noted in a November NFL security alert. Recent break-ins have also been reported at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
Investigators have not yet determined if the burglary is connected to other recent cases involving athletes.
