Remy Ma was convicted of assault and criminal possession of a weapon and sentenced to eight years in 2008. In their dedication to making their relationship work, the two married (over the phone) while Remy Ma was incarcerated. After her 2014 release, the New York-bred rappers joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: New York.
