As wildfires continue to devastate parts of Los Angeles County, local communities are coming together to support recovery efforts. From providing essential resources to volunteering on the front lines, there are countless ways to help those impacted by the fires.
On Jan. 7, an ongoing series of catastrophic wildfires began to impact the Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding regions. More specifically, communities in the Palisades, Malibu, and Altadena were hit the hardest.
Since the start last week, at least 24 deaths have been reported in the Los Angeles fires as two major blazes continue to burn across the sprawling Californian city. This is a heartbreaking time for the LA community. Many people and organizations are joining forces to support with helpful resources. Some foundations are raising money. Others are collecting donations. Many LA residents are also prioritizing service by volunteering at this time. the time to volunteer.
