Have you been feeling like anxiety keeps on watching you? Trying you? Trying to silence you?

If the lyrics to Doechii’s viral song “Anxiety” hit a little too close to home, the rapper has created an online hub to help anyone struggling with anxious thoughts, depression, or other mental health issues find the resources and community they need.

“Thank you for the support you’ve given my song Anxiety. Now, let me support YOU,” the Grammy-winning singer and rapper wrote in an Instagram post announcing her new initiative. “Share your stories, lend a listening ear or browse through our support communities to get the support you need anonymously.” 

At Anxietyiswatchingme.com, users can post anonymous messages about what helps them when they feel anxious in order to encourage and support others who may be struggling. Visitors to the site can also find additional identity-based, international, and general mental health resources and organizations like GLAAD, the Mental Health Association, Insight Timer, and more to get further assistance and mental wellness tools if needed.

“Doechii has experienced the challenges of anxiety firsthand and is using her platform to provide resources that can help you find guidance and tools to support your mental health.” the welcome message on the site reads.

This is also a place where you can find comfort in knowing that there are others on the journey.” 

Research shows that Black women and teens experience higher rates of anxiety than their white counterparts, with many Black women suffering in silence due to stigma, lack of awareness, or lack of access to mental health resources.

Doechii has been open about her own mental health in her music.  On her Grammy-winning mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, Doechii speaks about her struggles with drug abuse, toxic relationships, and emotional fragility. Her latest single Anxiety further shares her story in a way that is helping millions of listeners feel seen.  

“Anxiety” is a 2023 song by rapper Sleepy Hallow featuring Doechii. Doechii’s relatable lyrics and powerful vocals caused the song to go viral on TikTok this year, propelling the single to the top 10 of the Billboard 100, further cementing the relatability, necessity, and potential healing power of being open about mental health and self care.
