Southwest Airlines At San Diego International Airport

Travel can be expensive but when you can get a deal or something for free like a flight, you better hop on it and do it quickly.  Southwest Airlines has brought back for a very limited time their extremely popular companion pass program.  This program lets one person fly for free after you purchase a qualifying ticket, so basically a 2 for 1.

I know what you’re thinking… you want me to just tell you how to get in on this deal before it’s over.  It’s a couple of simple steps but well worth it to save those coins!

  1. Sign Up for their Rapid Rewards Program: I’m not sure why you wouldn’t already have done this but just in case you haven’t this deal is only offered to those enrolled in the program.  It’s free and you rack up points to spend every time you fly Southwest so sign up!
  2. Register for Your Companion Pass:  This is also free but a key step to ensure that you get that free airline ticket.  All you need is your name and Rapid Rewards Number.  Click here to register
  3. Purchase Your First Ticket:  You will need to do this by September 5, 2024.  You also need to make sure that you purchase a qualifying flight (one round trip or two one-way flight).  You can pay with cash, points, or a combination of the two.  You have until November 11, 2024 to travel  Click here to see all the qualifying flights.
  4. Take Your Trip with Your Companion:  Just note you will have to designate who your companion is.  You and your companion will travel between January 6, 2025 and March 6, 2025 just remember that you will have to pay taxes and fees on your free companion ticket
  5. Enjoy your free flight!
